I am a Caribbean woman who spent 20 years building a career across the United States, multilateral institutions, and government systems, and then came home. What I carried back was not just two decades of experience in organizational change and executive coaching. It was 20 years of watching what happens when Caribbean women are asked to lead inside systems that were never built to hold them whole.
IslandRooted was built to interrupt that pattern. Not just for the women who are already leading and feeling the cost of it. But for the women who are just beginning, who can still choose a different foundation before the wrong one sets in.
This is a space where Caribbean women do the real work of building a leadership identity that is grounded, clear, and entirely their own. Not a performance. Not a translation. A homecoming.
